Other resources that our Travel Advisors are able to offer include materials or incentives that are unable to be downloaded. Some of these are listed below and can be requested at the contact details here.

  • Cycling Information - including everything from general information through to a Bike Owners Handbook as well as the opportunity for an accompanied ride with a Travel Advisor or in a group, a basic cycle maintenance check and the opportunity to express an interest in adult cycle training
  • Walking Information - including the East Mainland Walking Guide; Access to the Country - An Orkney Guide; and Orkney's Woodland Walks
  • Public Transport Information - including information about Traveline; the opportunity to request a Personal Journey Plan for a trip you make regularly; and the Orkney Public Transport Guide
  • Car Information - notwithstanding the Carwise Kirkwall Leaflet above, we also have information on the If You Care Share initiative which helps you to find someone suitable to car share with
  • General Information - is available in the form of timetables for the Pickaquoy Centre, Kirkwall Grammar Gym and Swim facilities and the Peedie Guide
